About the event
Approved by the Indiana law enforcement training board, this crisis intervention team training is being offered to law enforcement officers, first responders, healthcare professionals, and concerned community members at no charge. CIT is a nationally recognized form of community oriented mental health care and crisis intervention
CIT training offers professional overview of mental illness and disorders common in our communities. The goal of the training is to give attendees insight and confidence in recognizing mental illness in providing crisis interventions.
Attendance is required at all four consecutive days of training for CIT role model certification. Single days may be attended his credit toward eight hour or refresher credits for those who have previously attended CIT training and ongoing effort to meet the needs of continuing education your agencies and the challenges of scheduling time for staff to maintain standards of excellence set for them, the scheduling of the CIT program…
