About the event
The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) will again be hosting a day-long SUIDI class in Indiana. This time, we’re going to be hosted by the Paoli Community Center in Orange County. The class will be on February 5, 2019 from 9am-4pm.
This free training teaches death scene investigators how to conduct a comprehensive infant death scene investigation. Investigators learn how to conduct witness interviews and doll reenactment, and to develop a narrative report for the forensic pathologist. This training gives investigators the necessary knowledge and skills to complete the Sudden Unexplained Infant Death Investigation Reporting Form (SUIDIRF) during and after the scene investigation, and participate in the pre-autopsy conference.
We’re looking for coroners, law enforcement, DCS, first responders and other death investigators. There will be no charge for this class, but please pre-register by emailing kcunningham2@isdh.in.gov so we make sure we have enough space and material.
